I wouldn't know about that. But at least here, the trend of leaving parents in old-age homes is slowly catching on, but is also highly criticised and frowned upon too. Most other parents are personally supported and cared for, by their kids till the end.

I definitely understand, and in no way I am trying to invalidate the situational need. It was just about what I have seen here in general. Recently, flew with a person who is working from home for a few months to take care of his ailing father (paralysis).
