I assumed that capitalizing Nice Guy was enough to make that distinction. No, David wasn't an incel or an MRA, just a whiny insecure asshole who went behind Darlene's back on a few things, but clearly thought of himself as the downtrodden hero of his own story.

Yeah, that does sound pretty shitty. Apologies if I sounded condscending. I tend to over explain my meaning and intentions, if only so people know what I'm trying to do. And I accept your method of distinction as an equally valid thing.
