...other than the red queen hypothesis, which is weak as hell and not at all scientifically satisfying. i looked up the guy credited with developing the theory (vigen geodakyan) on wikipedia—and he had a page! pretty short tho, didn't seem like anyone in the west paid attention
later on, the page was deleted because like four people decided he "wasn't notable". i'm sure that didn't have anything to do with his conclusions lmao
