I’ve had an article published! It’s about a strategy for transforming the business sector by fostering more widespread take-up of the Future Guardian model. It’s adapted from excerpts from the book and has been published by @PioneersPost. (1/7) pioneerspost.com/news-views/202

We believe that you shouldn't have to compromise if you drive a sustainable zero emission car. That why our customers will be able to fill their cars up at one of Element 2's nationwide refuellers and be on their way again in just 5 minutes. We'll even cover the fuel.

Our powertrain and lightweight architecture can be used in multiple applications and can be scaled up to service wider segments of the passenger and commercial vehicle market. Operational costs of FCEVs can be reduced significantly by sizing vehicles to meet different needs.

In our VaaS model, the monthly subscription and mileage rate covers everything, including fuel, and will be comparable to the total cost of owning and running a small petrol or diesel vehicle.

#throwbackthursday: Two early Riversimple vehicles in one picture! Taken in 2017 this photo was taken as part of a photoshoot showcasing the, then new, Rasa Alpha. You can also see the Hyrban on the right hand side which was used as an early powertrain demonstrator.

Yesterday we hosted our Custodian AGM. The environment, our customers, commercial partners, communities, staff and investor custodians all had their say on the direction of Riversimple. Environmental custodian Peter Lang wasted no time getting stuck in with the workshop team.

The advantages for us of multiple small plants over one big one are smaller infrastructure demands, shorter lead times for extra capacity, in smaller increments, and multiple communities of skilled staff. Each plant will focus on delivering a different vehicle.

We’ve been asked quite a few questions about our distributed manufacturing strategy (multiple small plants rather than one mega factory). The maximum throughput through one set of carbon fibre tooling dictates the optimum size of the plant and for us that is 5,000 units a year.

Built for testing with the public before we finalise designs for mass production, Rasas have been driven for thousands of miles across the UK, with lessons and feedback rigorously collected. Members of the general public first took the wheel in April 2021 in Monmouthshire.

As a leading british industrialist Juergen was a keynote speaker at the event advocating a consistent approach to national industrial strategy. We’ve missed the boat on other technologies but there’s still everything to play for with hydrogen vehicles.

This means that we are responsible for the life-span of the vehicles so, in contrast to traditional product-sale business models, the vehicles are designed from the very beginning to last as long as possible and be as robust as possible.

As the car slows, this electricity floods into the super-capacitors and is sent back to the motors, allowing acceleration from 0 to 60 in just 9.5 seconds. Our unique Axle Guardian software monitors safety-critical powertrain features at all times.

This may sound too good to be true and for most vehicles it is, but at Riversimple we do things differently. Because we are paying for the fuel, we are building the most efficient car possible which is not only better for the planet but offers a long range and rapid refill times.
