I wish but this has thousands of submissions that ends in a 5 day event for hundreds of kids, that needs to take place in an insured venue, as well as cover the costs of all the winners (and a guardian) to go to the national fair in May...

How on earth is a science fair at risk of disappearing due to a $15K shortfall in a place with the wealth & science legacy of SF Bay Area?!

... let's fix it! :-)

That is a prime example of eating your seed grain if the Bay Area's regional science fair is at risk for the sake of $15k

We're running an International STEM Awards right now and I totally understand your pain! I hope you can find the money you need... these girls and boys just deserve it!

If you repeal Prop 13, the extra revenue in property taxes would be more than enough to cover this in future years.

The GoFundMe is misconstruing this science fair as “the” Bay Area science fair, which is incorrect. There a several science fairs in the Bay Area, the one that actually serves Silicon Valley is the Synopsys Sci & Tech Championship (http://science-fair.org ).
