My mom is awesome. She spends 6-10am every day studying an area of science. Right now, she’s moved on from cosmology and it’s Earth sciences & geology. Then she has lunch and goes for an afternoon run to ‘process what she’s read’.

just read it out to my mother and she had a giggle and said ‘well he’s right to do the non-science things in the afternoon. that’s when I read poetry and fiction too’ (she’s being very modest, I found out she is writing her own sonnets right now...)
