Farewell, the great Terry Jones. I hope your last mint was the very thinnest of wafer thin.

Petition to stop calling it "climate change" and start calling it "changing climate" because it's not something that's going to happen, it's something that's visibly already happening & will continue to get worse if we don't stop polluting the environment

NEW PROJECT FINISHED! I made some artwork out of 21 raw Silicon Wafers, the things computer chips are made from. They're held in place with clips modelled off Stargate Chevrons. Full details + microscope photos on my blog!

An array of 21 Silicon Wafers hung on a wall. They sparkle and make cool rainbow reflection patterns when caught in the right light.
One of the wafers being crazy rainbow reflective - it's just a sea of various vibrant colours. This one's hundreds of memory chips.
The main wafer in this image is a Lexmark printer lockout cartridge. The one to the left is bare unpolished Silicon with a circular shine to it. There's more rainbows over all of them
A close-up microscope photo of one of the wafers. It looks like abstract art

We're also only a few hundred kilometres away from the smoke travelling the whole equatorial diameter of Earth. The area burnt so far is now larger than Iceland, or Ohio. They're still burning mostly uncontrolled.

Another update to help visualise the scale Australia's . We're running out of stuff to compare against so here's some celestial ones. The smoke cloud has travelled 3.5 times the width of the moon, or 5 times the width of Pluto.

PSA: from now on I will only be referring to the 2019/2020 Australian bushfire season as the Morrison fires. Whether or not you choose to do the same is entirely up to you.

It's hard to comprehend the scale of the Australian bushfires so I looked up some comparisons. The area burnt so far is a hair under 2 Belgiums. That's the WHOLE of Belgium, 2x over. It's also equal to ALL of West Virginia. They're still uncontrolled.

I've seen a lot of people arguing about if Rise of the Skywalker was good/bad, but they're all missing the actual important question... Is Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker better or worse than Star Trek: Discovery?

Did you ever think that maybe the Dark Side's called that because they always save electricity by turning lights off when they leave the room? Seriously, not one light switch anywhere in the Jedi Academy, they just leave things permanently lit 24/7
