FGM is against English law, but still there has been no successful prosecution! Are the authorities scared of being called “racist" if they interfere with these unspeakably barbaric “cultural practices”? https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/fgm-uk-female-genital-mutilation-countries-girls-children-cutters-flight-survivor-police-a8560306.html …
Mate, loosing a bit of foreskin is NOTHING like having a clitoris removed! Perhaps the males that insist on having this abhorrent practice performed on women should have the circumcision done about 4 inches closer to the body!

Actually it's usually the mothers that have this performed on their daughters, most of the time the fathers aren't allowed to attend. The clitoris is a mostly internal structure, it's not just the tiny exposed portion, so it's only cutting off the tip, just like circumcision.
-
If you want to debate anatomy & physiology with me mate, you had better do more research.
-
I have, quite a bit, most people believe the clitoris is just what's exposed but the clitoris as a whole looks like this (picture of 3d printed model) Nor again does all FGM include any partial clitoral removal, the cases from Australia and Michigan lately were about FGM 1a and 4pic.twitter.com/x7ps7hsnTF

1A is removal of the clitoral hood only, and the subtype of 4 involved (it's a catch all type for "anything else done to female genitals") were a small nick to the clitoral hood no tissue removal. These are just as illegal as infibulation would be (4% of all FGM worldwide)

As for circumcision, part of the issue is those who defend it not seeing the foreskin as a part of, an integral and important part of, the penis as a whole, not only due to containing the frenulum and ridged band, the most densely enervated parts of the body, but also for its >>

2> function, providing for the mechanical gliding in proper intercourse. The outer skin is meant to stay stationary once the penis is inside, the penis is meant to move inside its own skin, when that skin is removed, the outer skin moves too, causing painful friction.

Glad you did so much research on the subject, the question remains: Why alter a perfectly functioning piece of anatomy? Besides, when I need a lecture on fucking & women from a gay guy, I'll eat a bullet.
-
That's a good question! Why alter a perfectly functioning piece of anatomy? The answer is there is no good reason, and that answer applies both to FGM and to circumcision just as equally. There is no good reason to cut into any child's genitals.

Your example is an oversimplification and your suggestion is repugnant. Here are the facts about all types of genital cutting: http://blog.practicalethics.ox.ac.uk/2014/02/female-genital-mutilation-and-male-circumcision-time-to-confront-the-double-standard/ …
-
Nowhere near as repugnant as what they are doing to their women. Besides I don't remember having mine lopped off, it was a very common practice in my era.
-
You clearly did not read the nuanced article I shared.
-
Well I did, I still can't see your point. Call it FGM or FMC or whatever, it is totally unnecessary. Circumcision however has shown significant reductions in infections for both males & females. It's not a common practice now, due to improved WESTERN healthcare.
-
There are many more studies that show no heath benefits of circumcision, just like there are some studies that show health benefits to FGM. It doesn't make either one right, or necessary.

Male circumcision is sexual assault... stop the sexual assault apologism...

"a bit of foreskin" I'm going to guess you most likely still have that, as do most men in your country. And yet you spout this and think men are the ones who need to be punished for FGM. What a shame men like you are roped into this misandrist mindset. http://joseph4gi.blogspot.com/2014/02/circumcision-just-little-piece-of-skin.html …pic.twitter.com/RdwB83Xd4x
