It's really quite strange that in times that our CPU's were much slower we wrote backends in terrible things like php, but now you can do it in Rust. Getting free 'massive' scalability on just that piece of http handling.

I do suppose a 'safe systems language' was the unique engineering requirement thats now finally met by Rust.

The code i write can now realisticly jump back 10-20 years in time and be 'faster' than what we had then. Thats new.
