I love YouTube and when the notification system was first introduced I was told it was a chance for subs to see "every video you upload" I supported or then. But why break this system too? Why let it be only a "if we think the video is good enough" system as well?

We hear you, as the default setting is to receive "occasional" notifications, there's definitely more we can do to bring awareness to these options. For now, you can tap the bell for a specific channel and choose *all notifications* to receive all notifications for every upload.

How about having the default being “get all notifications” and then tap the bell to receive fewer if the user feels overwhelmed? Makes sense, yes?

No. The bell is push notifications.. thats all it is.. nothing more... I dont want my phone going off everytime ign uploads a video on e3 day lmao the defualt should be off or occasional

Notifications should always be an opt-in feature, not an opt-out annoyance. That's the way notifications work for basically everything.
