If we didn't have rules on loans and reporting, people could just give excessive contributions to campaigns, not report them, and then forgive them, effectively getting around campaign contribution limits.

Then why is the Trump campaign paying for Cohen’s legal defense? Why were these agreements made right before the election even though the sex happened years earlier? You can argue anything you want in court but decisions are made on available evidence, and that won’t hold up.

What if trump paid off stormy daniels for both campaign-related reasons and for personal reasons? How would the law treat that? I'm struggling a bit how you might prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he did this only because of the election.

The affair with Stormy was yrs ago yet the payments were RIGHT BEFORE the election! Also, 45 is paying Cohen's legal fees in relation to this matter which speaks volumes!
