One of my favorite Scalia opinions - but I'm biased in that my brother was the first person accosted in that crime spree (and the only victim not shot - only robbed at gunpoint).
I had a childhood friend who was kidnapped while delivering papers, sodomized, strangled and thrown in a dumpster. The killer got life in prison, because my state didn’t have that penalty. I was mad at the time. But capital punishment is wrong for so many reasons.
