For a decision that explicitly stated it could not be cited as precedent, it sure has been cited enough - and, I think, rightly so. This is an interesting and hopefully creative solution to the problem of the Electoral College today. (1)

The founders did not envision a situation where electors would just blindly vote for an unqualified candidate. The Electoral College could have saved us from Trump, but not how states use it now.
