This statement says he used his "own personal funds to facilitate a payment." https://twitter.com/tparti/status/963624434140614656 … That could mean simply that he laid out the money and was paid back by Trump, or anyone else. Or he might have used his personal funds to set up the LLC, which Trump then funded.

Isn’t he admitting to an ethical violation by saying personal funds? At least in Ohio, attorneys are prohibited from providing financial assistance to clients, except for advancing courts costs.
