So the key question is this: Did Trump directly or indirectly approach Brand to see if she'd fire Mueller if given the chance, and is that why she's leaving? If so, the slow-mo Saturday Night Massacre continues.

Possible she is just getting out while the getting is good? Before the prospect of uncomfortable decisions has arisen? And maybe to get over to the private sector before the association with Trump puts an uncleansable stench on her?
