I suspect the PA Supreme Court will rely on the Article I, Sec 5 "Elections shall be free and equal" clause in the state constitution for its reasoning

I agree. I appreciate that they wanted to issue the order ASAP to reduce election disruption, but a full opinion should have come by now. Could a dissent be holding it up?

I agree they sadly did not at all explain their legal argument. But the GOP trope that PA court ordered a new map without giving any guidelines for a legal plan is not correct. They listed compactness & the integrity of counties, cities, townships, & in a second order, precincts
