Worth pointing out again: the committee that the Chief Justice appointed to look into sexual harassment policies contains no clerks or lower administrative staff---the ones most likely to face abuse from judges and others. #appellatetwitter #scotus
To clarify (thanks @joshgerstein): the Commission dealing badly with the questions from the Kozinski extern is NOT the same commission as the one formed by Chief Justice Roberts, which is just getting up and running
A lot of this probably stems from the strange, unwarranted deification of judges by law school professors. Academia and the Judiciary are essentially interchangeable subsets of “the nerds” who build themselves up into an untouchable legal/political force.
