Notable that Kozinski offers an "only joking" type defense. Cue the @5thCircAppeals thread....https://twitter.com/rickhasen/status/942778157614039040 …

I've not seen anything from the
@VolokhC on this. Have I missed something? Here's the closest I've found to a defense of Kozinski.https://blog.simplejustice.us/2017/12/18/kozinski-resigns-and-the-fools-rejoice/#more-35618 …Show this thread -
This
@mauradolan piece says 2 of Kozinski's clerks (not 3) had quit, and that after the first accusations "he sounded more rattled" than appeared on the quote that he was "not worried"http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-pol-ca-judge-alex-kozinski-20171218-story.html …Show this thread -
But this
@mauradolan LA Times piece also said that Kozinski "apologized for having offended people" but this is incorrect. He only apologized for offending his clerks and said nothing about inappropriate touching.Show this thread -
Has anyone ever seen J. Kozinski give one of these "playful" kisses to a man described in
@mauradolan piece?Show this thread -

"Rule 11(e)...permits the chief judge to 'conclude the proceeding,' if 'action on the complaint is no longer necessary because of intervening events,' such as a resignation from judicial office." http://www.uscourts.gov/file/document/rules-judicial-conduct-and-judicial-disability-proceedings … p23

My understanding is judicial misconduct is handled directly by the Judicial Conference rather than a circuit court. But I’d have to make a phone call to verify that.
