So @hughhewitt has given up on antidemocratic idea of cancelling in-progress Alabama Senate election because Rs will lose.
But he wants @lutherstrange to resign, and argues resignation would allow AL to moot current election and call new one.

Remember, Strange was temporary Senator appointed pursuant to 17th Amendment when Sessions resigned. The resignation of the temporary Senator, after an election is called for permanent Sessions replacement, should not moot election of replacement.
And of course the easiest workaround is for R's to rally around @LutherStrange as a write-in candidate in the current election.
Lisa Murkowski, like Strange, lost the primary and won as a write in.
And voters can more easily spell Strange's name!
Of course, it wouldn't. There's a bulb needs replacement in a chandelier somewhere. Jeesh.
