More importantly Josh, voting has already begun for military and overseas voters who, under federal law, get their ballots sent at least 45 days before election.

Instant run-off voting would allow these voters to list their preferred candidates in order, obviating the need for delayed elections or legal quagmires. If their top candidates either lose, die, or are otherwise unable/unwilling to serve, then their votes go to next candidates.

In this digital day and age, why can't we do much better for the military? Military have CAC cards (special multi-factor auth), a far more reliable identity confirmation than flashing your driver's license. Let them vote online the very same day, on special locked down systems.
