How would election make one an "Officer", eligible to assume Presidency? Holding position of "President-Elect" doesn't make one an Officer.

In theory, could always create by statute an office of vice-vice-pres w/ no duties except to step in to Oval if other two go down

That's an "office" as Constitution understands it, but a weird one. Could get nominal salary, be impeachable. 3rd string QB

If Dems are smart, they'll want to hold an elec to halt legitimacy questions/unrest. Same for GOP. And if enough GOP votes 4 impeachment...
