@rickhasen do you know why Ripple participated in Whitford? And why isn't it going to 7th Cir before SCOTUS? (Guessing the two are related)
it is an appeal from a three judge district court (includes one appeals court judge)

Ok thanks. Just learned about 28 USC 2284 now! So do those cases always get appealed directly to SCOTUS (assuming party chooses to appeal)?
