Were juror instructions confusing or is the difference between intent: purpose, recklessness, negligence, a legit difficult jury question?

Students struggle to distinguish those after a semester. Seems have to be celebrity or cop to get reasonable doubt these days but we should.

I'm not a criminal lawyer, but I'd guess that jury charges in criminal cases should track the indictment pretty closely.
