It's surprising to me Dems haven't pushed harder to make Election Day a holiday.
.@fmanjoo much better is to have an easy early voting period, spread over a few weeks. On holidays people go away.

There was an effort post-2000 to make Election Day the same day as Veterans' Day. Veterans didn't like it.
