When Republicans want to do away with policies that will reduce fraud potential by producing cleaner data, like online voter registration and automatic registration, you know they are really interested in reducing turnout

Michael: Isn’t automatic voter registration prone to ballot harvesting & absentee mismailing schemes? And shouldn’t that be a concern... if obtaining a “snap-shot” of consent is truly the point of elections?

And this is why the biggest bill that 50 Democratic Senators will support is what should be done. There's no point in going smaller, nor in having multiple long debates on separate bills.

"Common ground" means we do what Republicans want. Anything else is socialism.

And if you do what they want, they won't vote for it anyway!

I'd start with a Bill just expanding in person voting as all of the fraud claims have been focused elsewhere. Make the 1st Monday in November a Holiday and make all polls be open no less than 6am to 6pm local time the full 3 day weekend. Maybe add same day registration.
-
And one polling station per community to a maximum of 5,000 or so registered voters per station to ensure everyone has easy access to in-person voting
