OK, @Politico now reporting that the PR firm that literally invented "Swift Boating" and that reps @FedSoc and @JCNSeverino helped Ed Whelan concoct his scurrilous accusations to try to save Kavanaugh nominationhttps://www.politico.com/story/2018/09/21/ed-whelan-kavanaugh-tweets-pr-firm-836405 …

The Politico report is full of denials that people knew what Whelan was up to but admits "at least one Republican member" of Senate Judiciary Committee "and that member told associates he was aware Whelan’s theory involved the home of a Kavanaugh classmate ...:

I take "member" to mean Senator here, though perhaps it is staff. But what about Leonard Leo and
@JCNSeverino ? And what of Kavanaugh himself, who seemed to suggest the misidentity theory to Senator Hatch last week?Show this thread -

Is it true Kavanaugh planted the doppelgänger ploy directly to Hatch first? If so, they should both be removed immediately. Unfit! Pathetic and outrageous.

Did
@EdWhelanEPPC violate any of the canons of professional ethics of the ABA for which he might be held accountable? Or was it simply just another d—k move on his part?#ScummyThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
