Here's a poll for current law students. Some professors dress more formally for class (with suits, ties, etc.) and some dress more informally (jeans, etc.) Do you care? And if you care, which do you prefer?

This strikes me as a very California thing. That said, at Pepperdine, I think pretty much everyone always dresses business formal to teach, its own culture.

I took the "wear a suit to teach, but grow out your hair pre-tenure" approach, and that somewhat unusual combination worked fine for me at L&C.
