This is unfortunate, and we will have to see what led to this "printing error." In my experience, election administration in LA County and Orange County are both first rate. I also find it hard to believe this will affect races IF county clearly gets word out to cast provisionals

We’ve been told that one way foreign adversaries could tamper with US elections is to delete people from poll books - force long lines processing provisional ballots, select the electorate. @marceelias

I will be interested in the explanation for voters being left off the Los Angeles poll books. The most likely explanation is incompetence, but a cyber attack on the poll books would be an effective way to disrupt an election

Looking at the explanation from LA County, it doesn’t look like the affected voters had their registration status changed but that their names didn’t print on the poll books.

        So they don’t use e-pollbooks?

This is a random issue with the print job that ran the paper rosters and does not affect your status as a registered voter. We apologize for the inconvenience of the provisional ballot; however it will count and we will resolve the issue for November.
