      Ah missed Rob’s response from yesterdayhttps://twitter.com/robkelner/status/999848628184379393 …

The withdrawal from Iraq, the abandonment of Syria to Assad’s terror and Russian occupation, the halfhearted response to “ISIL,” the grindingly slow economic growth, the regulatory explosion and increased taxation that fed heartland desperation, Benghazi....I’m out of characters. https://twitter.com/rickhasen/status/999846862357118976 …

We can disagree on whether this was bad policy, but these are not “scandals,” at least in the Trumpian sense of self-dealing or cooperation or encouragement of foreign forces to interfere in US elections.

That’s one sense of the term “scandal.” Not the only sense. I think most people find public policy scandals to be far more alarming than alleged self-dealing, especially when they involve life and death. The Syria “red line” episode was scandalous, as was Benghazi.

I would add that even with respect to your narrow definition of scandal, HRC’s issues while serving in the Obama cabinet come to mind. I also question whether there was any real investigation/enforcement of Obama “ethics pledge” compliance.

          Niger ambush. Trump's Benghazi.

Yeah this guy doesn’t even know his lines. Correct answers are Benghazi, Fast and Furious, IRS targeting conservatives, solyndra, the cornhusker kickback, if you like your plan you can keep it, the hip hop barbecue, and the thing with the cop arrested the Harvard professor.

If slow economic growth is a “scandal” then what is a recession? Treason?

It is a false equivalency for sure, perhaps one made in bad faith
