People get all worked up about little edge stuff. A glass of beer a few times a week is probably less dangerous than driving to work with drunk drivers around. People just like to micromanage things. Getting everybody proper diabetes care would do a hell of a lot more good.

Nope we knew everything there is to know about nutrition in 1960. You need a minimum oi certain vitamins and minerals and amino acids & if you consume too many calories you get fat, too few and you starve.
