I remember exactly where I was as a kid when I learned about the sudden death of this Yankee. There are kids today who won't ever forget losing Kobe.

    10. The judge will now examine evidence in about 80 other EFP attacks to see which also were supported by Iran. Damages will be decided later. There is little chance Iran could be made to pay directly, but plaintiffs may be able to receive money from a fund for terror victims.

    9. The lawsuit has been quietly proceeding in DC federal court. But in August, the judge concluded that Suleimani’s Quds Force had provided the “material support” for six devastating EFP attacks in Baghdad between 2005 and 2009,  including ones on Sergeant Hake and Mr. Levi.

    8. At his testimony, Mr. Levi engaged in what the judge called “gallows levity.” But listening to evidence about Sergeant Hake’s death, Mr. Levi was overcome: “I couldn’t stop crying, and I couldn’t leave. It’s something other people needed to hear. I’m lucky I only lost limbs.”

    2. The special bombs were canisters packed with high explosives and capped with a concave copper disc that upon detonation became a dense, molten projectile that traveled at several times the speed of sound and which could puncture the armor of almost any military vehicle.
