  4. After what NATO did to Libya and Syria I don’t wanna hear shit from Westerners about NATO being a “defensive” alliance. That’s a straight up lie and adding insult to injury. Why does NATO even still exist anyway? Its entire purpose— countering the USSR— is obsolete since 1991.

  5. Joe Biden, his CIA chief William Burnes, and countless Western officials have said on record, privately & publicly, that NATO expansion is a red line for Russia. The only people saying this is a “Kremlin talking point” are ignorant liberals who can’t accept NATO is antagonistic

I’m stunned by the stupidity of people who talk about Ukraine without mentioning NATO expansion. How are you talking about a geopolitical event while leaving out the geopolitics? Russia has been warning the West that NATO expansion is a red line long before anyone heard of Putin.

Many people seem to support Zelensky doing everything he can to fight an invading force, including banning opposition groups and consolidating the media. I'm sure they'd support Assad doing the same thing to fight not one, but three occupiers (Israel, US, Turkey). Right? lmao

  16. That’s correct. The US removed its Jupiter nuclear missiles from Turkey after the Soviets removed theirs from Cuba. (But the Americans waited to do it so that it wouldn’t look like they were appeasing the Russians). Both sides understood the balance of power must be respected.

  17. That doesn’t mean you have to agree or like Russia. It means you understand Russia is a power and has areas it considers too important; where it feels that its existence is being threatened. The US would— and did— react similarly in its own backyard during Cuban missile crisis.

  21. So Zelensky banned the center and left parties with “ties to Russia” but none of the parties with ties to Neo-Nazis? What’s that about?
