While I agree with the spirit of this petition, and appreciate your leadership, a minor terminology quibble: "restorative justice" is actually quite effective, but only when its done right -- meaning that actual punishment, and accountability, are part of the equation. (1/2)

What Chesa has been implementing is not restorative justice, as it lacks these key components. I don't know what to call his philosophy, but it certainly doesn't appear to be about any of protecting the community, making victims whole, or meaningfully reforming offenders. (2/2)

The feds or state need to take over the office of the DA and all cases in the past year need to be reviewed. This is a clear case of conflict of interest and corruption.
