This 1950 AFOSI interrogation tape is a contradiction: if saucers aren't real, there couldn't have been crashes, and so there couldn't have been "parts" to track down and interrogate people over. It's a nonsensical situation.

Back then Americans knew this, intuitively. They also were having a hard time seeing beyond the gaslighting and gray propaganda being used to keep the American people and the Soviets from figuring out what happened with the crashes.

It's a National Security spell that's so powerful even insiders can't see through it.

In the audio (paraphrasing), from the Air Force officer: "It's all been explained, but we want the parts and the gadgets from the crashed saucers!"
"Coulter" is "Koehler" in these Jan. 1950 newspaper archives:

In this audio, they were super desperate to find Coulter's (Koehler's) sources. They wanted to find who leaked, plug the leaks and press charges or punish them. And also get the souvenirs to keep them out of civilian & Soviet hands.

Our open source JSON timeline is emerging and it's becoming obvious what happened: they had leaks about the Roswell and Aztec area C/R's in late 1949/early 1950.

Why didn't Koehler just say "Well you're telling us saucers aren't real, so there can't have been any crashes, therefore there can't be any parts or gadgets. It's all bullshit - good bye!"
