Most (all?) of the resistance to these basic concepts comes from highly privileged, highly paid corporate tech company employees. I suspect you are too far in the trees to see the forest here.
With that being said, I know that MS is trying to change and there are good teams there. But there are clusters of insanity there too. I do respect MS's software greatly (I use it every single day).

My original point was never about MSFT, just my feeling that what you post doesn't help anyone without more specifics. I don't doubt bad tech companies exist and even that MSFT has groups within it that aren't/weren't great. But knowing who to avoid before you join is key.
