...and you have seen some posts agreeing with me and you would find more if you look. That’s what I am saying. YMMV and there are no general categories! But hey, if you want to take your anecdotes and codify them into laws, it’s your prerogative. And I would still “100% disagree”
Listen man, I'm not pointing fingers at specific companies. Period. Unfortunately, due to the rarity of some of these company types (like #1), a handful of my categories were inspired by a single company. I couldn't even post these observations if I started naming companies.

Also, you and others are assuming these company types were inspired by just my experiences. Most are, but not all. Some are from other tech company workers. I can't name them.
-
As for Microsoft, so far I've had very few good experiences or interactions with this corporation. I've been burned on basically every single interaction sooner or later. MS purposely outright lied and exploited 100+ of my fellow coworkers at Ensemble Studios.
-
I've seen some out of control, basically crazy shit going on inside of MS relatively recently. I mean totally crazy, abusive, insane stuff. So this definitely colors my opinion of this corporation.
-
With that being said, I know that MS is trying to change and there are good teams there. But there are clusters of insanity there too. I do respect MS's software greatly (I use it every single day).
-
My original point was never about MSFT, just my feeling that what you post doesn't help anyone without more specifics. I don't doubt bad tech companies exist and even that MSFT has groups within it that aren't/weren't great. But knowing who to avoid before you join is key.
