Most of the game devs I've personally known/met either live on the east coast US (FL, Maine), Montreal, or Europe. In fact, I can't recall meeting a single one while living in Silicon Valley. But anecdotes in this context are obviously worthless :)

Actually I take that back- I met a couple in the VR space that lived in SF. But it was still a rare occasion.
