A few things that are totally obvious to any 12 year old gamer but apparently are too complex for the corporate types at MS: Windows Store only releases are instant Kiss of Death, UWP is a dead end, and games without post-ship support are damaging to your brand+franchises.

I think you're right. The Xbox Store is a great experience for games. The Windows Store... not so much. It's frustrating that there can't be more harmony and synergy.

May the MS gods help you if the Windows Store bugs out and won't let you install a game. The technology it's built on is too opaque and flaky. I spent hours on one Win 10 machine trying to install a game published by MS. Googling for help was ultimately useless, so I just gave up
