    This is all to say, that I don't think that DMFI (basically an AIPAC front group) should be welcome within the Democratic tent. They spend more opposing progressives than making sure we defeat Republicans

    Aipac clone 's goal is NOT to elect Dems. It's goal is to elect *pro-Israel* Dems & defeat progressive Democrats. It spent $2.8-million to defeat progressives and $1.6-million to elect pro-Israel Dems. It spent $600K to defeat GOP candidates

    A better way to analyze this data would be to examine the Dem primary candidates they supported & opposed based on whether they were progressives or moderates; including which Dems they funded in the general election.

    DMFI spent $2.77 million opposing Democrats during the primaries (I excluded the money spent opposing Valerie Plame because she's an antisemitic conspiracy theorist). 2/

    The doors just opened to a very different future. I have a sinking feeling that no one will really be able to control what comes next. And remember Myanmar's a country awash in weapons, with deep divisions across ethnic & religious lines, where millions can barely feed themselves

    Just as Trump used "election fraud" as an excuse to mount a failed coup against democracy, the Myanmar junta also uses fake claims of election fraud to mount its own coup. Unlike Trump, it will succeed unless the world mounts fierce opposition.
