    She’s an amazing little girl. When I was in class one day, I saw a drawing hanging on the front wall: "Being doesn’t mean you’re hopeless." I asked the teacher who drew the poster, we talked & things just started to roll. Enjoy the full story -->

    Wanted to speak on homelessness as a witness to its hardships. Found out a friend of mine, Spirit, had her dog stolen from near her tent while she was away. She said that dog gives her a reason to live. There is a happy ending as police found Moses early the next week.

    A photo from April's book-signing. Had the opportunity to connect with locals and talk to a bunch of folks about homelessness. I appreciate everyone who's bought a copy. All the proceeds from which are going to the Bill Mehr Drop-in Shelter.

    We had winds of up to 50 mph & I think of some of my friends in the woods. Got a text from one that she’s out of propane. Another friend, John, has been working full-time, but we’re having trouble finding him housing. They get kicked out of one place and go to some other woods.

    Congrats to alumnus Rich Garon (GSAS ’75, ’83) whose novel, “Lee Fitts,” was recently released. Garon is deeply committed to fighting homelessness. All of the proceeds from the sale of the book will go toward a center for the homeless in his local community. 💜
