    MK Labour and Lib Dems form Council coalition - cue claims of arrogance from both sides. Strikes me that the cabinet system is the root of the problem, gives so much power to Council leader of any colour. Would a more consensual system such as Committees work better?

    Don't blame the High Court - they got it right - blame the feebleness of the Government for forcing this farcical situation on Councils. MK's version in Stadium:MK ballroom next week.

    Remember a couple of weeks ago when the High Court ruled councils must return to in person meetings...? This socially distanced council meeting cost an extra £6,000 + VAT, and that didn't even include a megaphone and binoculars for those at the back! 📣

    Civvy life begins: cooked dinner properly. Ate together. Helped my wife with a work PowerPoint. Went out for a jog in last bit of daylight. All too rare during councillor life and non-existent before election

    I felt a disturbance in the force, but now equilibrium is restored as we have a Police and Crime Commissioner again. Wonder how much of their time they spend on commissioning crime....

    According to the BBC the final result - after going to a run off of 2nd preferences - of the Thames Valley PCC election is: (Cons): 313,148 (Lab): 233,446

    I worked hard, I would have made a great Councillor but I lost. Thanks to my election agent, and the entire Lib Dem team. Thanks to the people who voted for me. I am truly thankful. It was an amazing experience. Time to pamper me.

    Congratulations to Charlotte Hall who has won our Council seat for the Conservatives. We increased our vote last time by over 100 but not enough. So proud of and the superb campaign she ran, worth fighting for. But national headwinds just too strong.

    Today’s the day - If you are in my ward please take time today to vote for Nana Oguntola as new Councillor. She will be a big improvement on the previous guy!

    It's May 6th. Time to vote for the person who will care, listen and work for you in Campbell Park and Old Woughton. I am that person. Your vote matters. it counts. Use your vote. Remember to wear a mask and take a pen or pencil to your polling station.

    Great news - I supported this project from my ward budget this year and looking forward to seeing Electra in action on the Grand Union Canal based in Campbell Park.

    Big crane lowering a brand new narrowboat into the Grand Union Canal. The launch of Electra. Milton Keynes's brand new all electric canal boat. Base livery of pale grey with royal blue lines and a flash of bright green.

    No celebrations at Brexit deal formally passing EU parliament today. It's still a terrible deal that puts a border up inside the UK, creates barriers to trade and businesses like never before and takes away our freedom. No true Conservative or Unionist should back it.
