i think there's definitely an argument for generational divides being accelerated and 92-98 as a separate generation from millennials. but i wouldn't tie it to gen z in any way

the way generations work is that there are 'waves' centered around a few years and then everyone outside those has to identify with whatever is closest

like, so many 'boomers' were actually too young to experience the 60s at all, but theyre stuck being boomers bc they were too old for the next big youth culture wave
