The issue is that eating nothing but potatoes would do everything the carnivore diet promises but it’s not edgy

Good intervention for severe auto-immune problems to figure shit out, other than that bye bye epithelial mucosa
-
Plants regenerate mucosa?
-
Many of these cell types use carbs preferentially, and in some people if the go 100% animal product, they'll see some problems
-
Yeah, no.
-
Yes...it works for some people and not others. I know many people that go carnivore/long term keto without cycling and they develop dry eyes and sleep like shit.
-
Mucosal dryness is typically associate with vitamin deficiencies, like low magnesium or B12 anemia. This isn’t from lack of carbohydrates but rather lack of meat protein.
-
I agree with the first part. But the glycan still needs carb oligosaccharides to make mucin. Some are then further glycosylated to give the mucosal barrier it's innate properties.
-
There's literally no reason to force your body into prolonged states of gluconeogenesis when you can eat a carb every once in a while, like we most likely evolved to do.
