Is this type of abuse captured in the criteria applied to "ESG-friendly" portfolios? To what extent does ESG, as currently practiced, hold investors accountable for ethically questionable transactions or financing structures where labor interests are clearly shortchanged?

Are the activities of private companies owned by KKR even under any scrutiny by so-called ESG investors? Purely private companies always get a full pass, Cargill comes to mind, but even in the case of listed PE companies like KKR, the ESG frameworks don't seem to apply.
