It always pisses me off when people think that China produces cheap goods because that’s all they can produce. China produces cheap goods because that’s what American companies design and sell to American consumers.

Pretty incredible that Google is trying to get away with blaming macroeconomic conditions for their layoffs, when over the last year they’ve spend 57.36B on stock buybacks. That’s enough to support the 12,000 laid off engineers at their median engineer compensation for 23 years.

We are living through societal collapse. It's slower and more boring than we imagined it would be but this is what it feels like when we quietly know the social contract was severely breached. Makes me wonder what we'd do about it if we had class consciousness as a society.
