The malleability of "religious perspectives" never ceases to amaze me. We have the evangelicals now as the strongest supporters of the most immoral, most amoral, most corrupt man who's ever sat in the white house... and they can't get enough of him.

I'm not a religious scholar, but I'm highly skeptical that social media is covered in the Quran.

So is that a fatwa on Facebook, or on the internet? Maybe on secret things on the internet? A fatwa on letters?

I guess I'd feel uncomfortable pointing the finger at Iran on this specific issue, seen the abysmal western records on this matter. Just consider NSA, Echelon, and more recently Facebook and YouTube.
