That’s an odd study. Why would an atheist describe “God”. I wouldn’t.

Right? I could only ever imagine saying, “but there is no god- how can I describe something that doesn’t exist”. I can’t imagination question that could prompt me to give an answer

this sounds like bullshit. An atheist wouldn't ascribe anything to something that doesn't exist.

Errrrr, any "atheist" who starts to describe god is an all-out fraud.
-
Eh, I'm sure you could give a serviceable description of Santa Claus...

Lol was thinking the same thing. I mean, I guess if I was forced to describe something....pic.twitter.com/pKhD2DLkwf

@GretngsFrmEarth@amjoyshow But....I don't see myself as imaginary. -
Same here. I'm going to have to read the book to delve deeper into the idea that atheism is a reflection like the type of god is for believers.

If anything, I picture the universe: stars, galaxies, that sort of thing. Certainly not some dude.

Disagree..I don’t have an anthropomorphic entity in my life. Only cathedral I worship in is the natural world. It is perfect. It doesn’t need an explanation. It just needs & deserves respect. We fail to do so at our peril.

How is it possible for an atheist to describe god? Fictionally? Mythically?
-
Yes, what context or wording would get an atheist to answer this question.

I don’t describe God as having human emotions. More of a scientist. We’re an experiment he/she is running and not going well.

Interesting take! A bit like "The Truman Show!"
-
Good, succinct way to describe. Why would an entity that is so powerful be encumbered with something like human emotions.

I tend to describe gods as ludicrous fantasies. I may be ludicrous, but I'm not a fantasy.

Reza, This sentiment is nonsense on your part. Atheists do not "describe" emptiness. There is no evidence in our cosmos for a sky-God. The Atheist motto is: ho cosmos atheos [Ancient Greek, "the universe is godless"].
