I like this. I would say faith ≠ belief. I know many 'faithful' unbelievers... but belief on the other hand, that's definitely a choice.

That's true otherwise what's the sweetness on belief of God with compulsion and no free will.

As a child I would have chosen to have faith in what everyone around me had faith in, to fit in. But my brain doesn't work that way.

Faith should be a choice. Unfortunately it is not for many human beings.

Most people are indoctrinated into a faith as children, before they have developed intellectual defenses, so how is it a true choice?
