If they didn’t care, it kind of does make them the same.

He has no choice but defend those people, calling them names isn't constructive.

I would venture that their metric for defining what is racist, sexist etc..isn't too deep. The "deplorable" blanket statement doesn't apply.
-
It was never a "blanket statement". Trump's loyal base was and continues to be "deplorable". It's the actions, not the label.
-
My point was that everyone has a different metric for identifying something racist or sexist. Ex: IMO if you support mandatory min 1/
-
Prison sentences for low level drug offenses, you're probably racist. The data supports those incarcerations heavily impact minority 2/
-
Communities. So you're either an idiot for not knowing that, or you knowingly support a racist policy, despite data that supports 3/.
-
The fact that white and minority communities use drugs at the same rate, but are incarcerated disproportionately
-
And yes, when you say "Half his supporters.." that's a blanket. Leaving individuals to decide who is deplorable and who isn't was dumb.

Or they don't understand racism or thought he deserved 2nd chance or that he isn't any more racist / misogynist than most people they know

If you support a viciously racist & sexist candidate, you are more than complicit. If 45* were a lot less overt, mayb...still no.

I mean the data doesn't lie, the more racist/sexist you are the more likely you voted Trump http://www.vox.com/identities/2017/1/4/14160956/trump-racism-sexism-economy-study …

In truth, most of the voters turned beacuse their fear of losing American growth and economy, but the Sales Pitch Door to Door...
-
con artistry quick talking BS'in styles shouldn't be the reason of voting. Most of our country including me doesn't even know what Obama did
-
but because of the uncertainty of Trump, most Americans like me, are also getting really involved into politics, and actual economics
