We saw the carnage through the eyes of the character we care about. Empathy for the victims is what allows us to let go of Danny; it shows us why she must not be the queen. Don’t really see any plot holes. It was a good ending. (although Jamie didn’t need to die...)

Writers just wanted to be done with GoT... they have the next Star Wars trilogy to write.

I loved the ending part that was like the Sopranos finale where they were sitting around a table talking about mundane shit, it should have stopped there.

@lailalalami uh,folks, don't know how to tell you, but it's a TV show. Oh, forgive me cable--the branch of video that used to have all the respect of street winos (though now the winos are shot with feeling, given motive, so it's classy). But it's still TV! C'mon you expect what?
